Dental implant surgery nowadays is a routine treatment in dentistry and is normally considered to be a safe surgical procedure with a high success rate. Although, complications should be taken into consideration because they can occur after the surgery. Also, many of the complications can be resolved without severe problems. But, in some cases, they can cause failure of the dental implant or even life-threatening circumstances. Avoiding these complications begin with careful treatment planning based on accurate preoperative anatomic evaluations and estimation of all expected problems.
