N2  - Buccal route has been used for many years to deliver drugs . it has the advantage of allowing excellent accessibility , reasonable patient compliance as well as avoiding first-pass metabolism. in addition it has greatly been used for local delivery of many drugs used in oral pathology; يستخدم التجويف الفموي لسنوات عديدة كموضع لإيصال العقار في الجسم لما له من مزايا عديدة منها السهولة الشديدة في تناول العقار مما يساعد على إمتثال المريض في العلاج  وكذكلك قابليتة لتجنيب العقار من المرور في الإيض الأول . إلى جانب هذا فإن التجويف الفموي يستخدم كثيرا لتحقيق التأثير الموضوعي لكثير من الأدوية على أغشية الفم ، ومن هنا كانت تناول العقار عن طيرق التجويف الفموي - لما له من مزايا - يشكل العديد من التحديات لدى الباحثين
