520 3 _aThe aim of the present study was to: Compare program compatibility for dental operators between different in office clear aligners softwares: (3D Maestro,3Shape, BlueSky bio, Plainmeca) Comparison and evaluation will be done by users using simple scoring templates after using the 4 softwares. Four different orthodontic planning softwares used for planning clear aligners cases were used in this study. After working on the fabrication process of the aligner on the software the clinician was given a scoring template for evaluation Ten orthodontists were recruited for the evaluation process A total of 48 casts were used including upper and lower arches for each case. To verify the reliability of the scanner, we scanned the reference models 2 times before integrating the image into the 4 softwares. Each orthodontist made a check mark on each option in the checklist. A check mark with YES was given a One point, and a check mark with NO was given Zero point. The study depended on reviews from orthodontists depending on their clinical and practical experience with the tested softwares for analysis, planning and production of clear aligners for indicated cases. Case selection was discussed in the inclusion criteria in this study, as the cases were selected according to literature recommendations for aligner treatment, and in the same time to be simple cases that could be properly assessed and designed using studied orthodontic software. Results of this study revealed no statistically significant difference between the tested softwares regarding the first and second questions that were concerned with achieving the aims of the softwares and their reliability. The results of this study showed all the softwares are reliable in dental planning and designing for clear aligners, meanwhile differences existed between them in the arrangement of tools resulting in more complexity and consequently more time waste in their application.
